6-week Cadette Coding for Good Series

About: Girl Scout Cadettes interested in earning their Coding for Good Badges this winter will love this 6-week series! Led by members of UVA's chapter of Girls Who Code, this series will teach Cadettes all about coding whether they're just starting out or looking to expand their skills. Meetings will be held virtually via Zoom starting mid-December. Each lesson will build on the previous, so girls should plan to attend all sessions.
When: This is a 6-week virtual series meeting on Tuesdays from 5:30-7:00 PM. Girls only need to register once for the full series. All meeting dates & times are listed below:
- Tuesday, December 15th from 5:30-7:00 PM (EST)
- Tuesday, December 22nd from 5:30-7:00 PM (EST)
*No meeting on Tuesday, December 29th
- Tuesday, January 5th from 5:30-7:00 PM (EST)
- Tuesday, January 12th from 5:30-7:00 PM (EST)
- Tuesday, January 19th from 5:30-7:00 PM (EST)
- Tuesday, January 26th from 5:30-7:00 PM (EST)

What you need to know: Girls will need access to a laptop or computer and high speed internet access for each session. Participants will also need to create free accounts with Github, Figma & Unity as well as download GitHub desktop and Unity. Girls Who Code instructors will be able to walk through this process with participants.
