Camp Director's Conference
 

The Camp Director's Conference is a time for networking and a time of inspiration, education, and renewal as we reflect on the past year and look forward to the next.  There will be a time for sharing with open discussions regarding leadership & supervision, staff training, camper and staff development, camp programming, evaluation, risk management, and emergency planning, and more!   There will be two tracks this year: New and experienced!  This conference is open to both camp directors and camp administrative volunteers. 

 

 Attendance Parameters: Participants may attend as individuals.

What to bring: Participants should bring the following:  

  • Pen or pencil and notebook
  • Snacks to share
  • A reusable water bottle or favorite mug
  • Laptop, if you like typing your notes and incorporating them into future camp plans!
  • Unwanted camp program supplies for swapping!  

Lodging: Free Friday night lodging at Icimani provided for volunteers from out of town and don't mind sleeping in the gym. Mattress pads are provided or you can bring your own air mattress or cot. Please indicate whether you need lodging during registration.

Meals: A light continental breakfast with hot tea and coffee will be provided Saturday morning. Lunch from Panera will also be provided. Participants should provide their lunch preference during registration.

Health Form: We will ask a few health-related questions during registration to be sure we know allergies, medications and any special accommodations. However, each participant is to upload a copy of their complete health form here!

Cancellation Policy
GSVSC Refund Policy: requested refunds are up to the discretion of the council (GSVSC staff) based on individual circumstances. Refunds will not be issued less than 30 days prior to the date of the program, event, camp or training, and will not include any processing fees or unrecoverable program expenses incurred by the organizer(s). Refunds will not be issued for fewer than $5; after applicable refund processing fees. Trips will have their own individual refund policies.
