Program Description: Join GSVSC for Girl Scout Field Day and Harry Potter Night at the Salem Red Sox! Enter the magical world of Girl Scouting on Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20. Watch the Salem Red Sox take on the Down East Wood Ducks on Friday night from box seating and enjoy a camp out with popcorn and the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone on the field after the game. During the game there girls can create their snitch SWAPS at the GS table. There will also be cornish pixie tag on Mini Fenway Field during the 7th inning stretch of the game!

On Saturday, get sorted into your house team, play field games and participate in activities inspired by Harry Potter: quidditch on the main field, potions class, herbology, transfiguration lessons, and more!

Seniors & Ambassadors will have the chance to earn hours towards their Service to Girl Scouting Bar as Professors! They will be able to choose which class they want to lead when they register.

Attendance Parameters: Participants may attend as individuals with a guardian/parent/adult or with troops that provide the appropriate number of leaders and adult chaperones needed to meet the girl-to-adult ratios for their age-level. Guardian/parent/adult chaperones and troop leaders are required to stay during the entire program.

Adult friends and family may join Girl Scouts at the game but will not be allowed to participate in after game activities and overnight. If you wish to become a Girl Scout member to join for the entire event and future events follow the link below to become a volunteer today:

A friendly reminder regarding Council policy A5: "Adult participants attending an event, trip or overnight should be registered Girl Scout members and have a cleared background check on file with GSVSC prior to their participation in these Girl Scout activities."

Camping will be divided into Family Camping and Troop Camping.

*All male adult family members but still be registered and back ground checked. Below are the sleeping arrangements policies for overnight event:

On trips where male volunteers are part of the group, it is not appropriate for them to sleep in the same space as girl members. Men may participate only if separate sleeping quarters and bathrooms are available for their use. In some circumstances, such as a museum or mall overnight with hundreds of girls, this type of accommodation may not be possible. If this is the case, men do not supervise girls in the sleeping area of the event, and the adult-volunteer-to-girl ratio is adjusted accordingly.

Always avoid having men sleep in the same space as girls and women, but during family or parent-daughter overnights, one family unit may sleep in the same quarters where areas are designated to accommodate a family arrangement.
Also ensure the following:
• Each participant has her own bed. Parent/guardian permission must be obtained if girls are to share a bed.
• Girls and adults do not share a bed; however, some councils make exceptions for mothers and daughters.
• It is not mandatory that an adult sleep in the sleeping area (tent, cabin, or designated area) with the girls, but if an adult female does share the sleeping area, there should always be two unrelated adult females present.
$35.00 per Game Overnight & Field Day (B J C)
$15.00 per Game Overnight & Field Day (S A D/ Adults Tags)
$12.00 per Game & Overnight
