Gold Award Workshop
 

Are you ready to make a difference in the world?

This Gold Award Workshop is required for all Girl Scouts wanting to earn the Gold Award, which is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. This workshop is designed to help guide girls and their advisers through the seven steps to earning the Gold Award -- including how to identify the root cause of an issue, create a sustainable plan to tackle it, submit a project proposal to council for approval, take action and lead a team to carry out the plan, as well as educate and inspire others! 

Girls can pursue the Girl Scout Gold Award if:

They're in high school (ninth through twelfth grade, or equivalent)

They're registered as a Girl Scout Senior or Girl Scout Ambassador

They've completed two Senior or Ambassador Journeys OR earned the Girl Scout Silver Award and completed a Senior or Ambassador Journey

Participants are: Senior (S), Ambassador (A), and Adult/advisers

Participation level: Participants may attend as individuals (with adviser or parent) or with troops (with appropriate # of leaders/chaperones). Adviser, parent/guardian or leader will need to stay during the training.

NOTE: If girls cannot be accompanied by a parent or troop leader, they need to bring a permission slip and health history form.

 
Length of Course:  This is approximately a two-hour course.

Cancellation Policy
GSVSC Refund Policy: requested refunds are up to the discretion of the council (GSVSC staff) based on individual circumstances. Refunds will not be issued less than 30 days prior to the date of the program, event, camp or training, and will not include any processing fees or unrecoverable program expenses incurred by the organizer(s). Refunds will not be issued for fewer than $5; after applicable refund processing fees. Trips will have their own individual refund policies.
